Avengers: Endgame 10 Memes That Perfectly Sum Up The Movie – Screen Rant

Avengers: Endgame is the MCU’s biggest and most important film so naturally, fans took to the internet to create some hilarious memes about it.
Anticipating the release of Thor: Love and Thunder this July, fans of the MCU are clinging to every movie and Disney+ show a part of the universe. With thousands of minutes of screen time to enjoy throughout the MCU collection, fans also love to share memes referencing the scenes that have most influenced them.
These Avengers: Endgame memes perfectly sum up the most important aspects of the film. This installment wrapped up the Avengers storyline that featured the team-up that originated in the first Avengers, concluding an epic storyline.
This meme is technically created from a scene from the previous movie, Avengers: Infinity War, but it clearly references the final stage of the fight with Thanos.

There was a lot of anticipation as fans waited for the release of Endgame, eager and nervous to see what will become of the Avengers following the loss of so many central characters. After the film was released, the audience was reminded throughout that Doctor Strange saw over 14 million realities and only one of them ended with them winning the fight.
After all of the devastation Thanos caused, he is shown at the beginning of the film living a quiet, quaint life in peace. This meme references the scene in which the Avengers discover where he is and go to seek their revenge.
It was just as shocking for fans as it was for the Avengers to see Thanos, who turned the lives of so many people upside down, living as if he hadn’t even been a villain. No matter how serene he seemed, it was satisfying to see Thor finally go for the head.
After jumping five years into the future, fans were wondering what the lives of the Avengers would be like following Infinity War.

While most of the remaining Avengers were still going on and prepared when the time came to take on Thanos again, not all of them were prepared. Tony may get a pass for living a serene life and having a child, but this meme shows Thor’s devolved state throughout the years. Blaming himself for not killing Thanos when he had the chance, Thor gained a lot of weight and appeared to have a drinking problem.
It is a running joke throughout the Avengers films that something happened in Budapest that Clint and Natasha remember quite differently.

When the two are on their way into the past to retrieve the soul stone, the two once again make a comment on their time in Budapest. Fans are waiting to know what the references to the incident means to the characters, as expressed in this meme. After Natasha dies to retrieve the soul stone, fans thought they would never know the answer to this question until it was revealed in Black Widow.
When Thanos came after the stone embedded in Vision’s head, he killed off the one person that meant the most to Wanda.
However, the Thanos at the end of Endgame is from the past and therefore never encountered Wanda. That didn’t stop Wanda from being a key character in the fight against him at the end of the film. This meme emphasizes Wanda’s anger and rage as she takes on the villain, determined to get revenge for Vision.
While there were a lot of members that contribute their power to what inevitably led to Thano’s downfall, their sacrifice and effort are overshadowed by Stark’s ultimate sacrifice.
This meme references the overarching plotline in which Natasha dies for the soul stone, Hulk snaps with the gauntlet to bring back those that were disintegrated by Thanos, and Ant-Man’s success in bringing them together to time travel to find the infinity stones in the past. Tony’s death was the most devastating scene, but he was far from the only Avenger that led to their victory.
After the shock of Infinity War, fans were holding their breath waiting to see if Thanos was about to wipe out the world’s population once and for all.
But he never got a chance to make his second snap. While several members of the Avengers team fought to get the gauntlet from him, Tony chose to swipe the stones from the gauntlet. This meme emphasizes Thanos’s shock when he realizes he no longer has the stones in his possession.
When it seemed like they were about to lose against Thanos and his army, Tony uses the stones to wipe out the whole army but dies from the power the stones give off as one.
This meme demonstrates every emotion within that plot twist. Tony was ready to die, knowing the act would end his life, while Thanos seemed to accept he was going to be wiped from the universe after losing. Doctor Strange was the only one who knew what had to happen for them to win and knew Tony was doing the right thing. Endgame had a perfect end scene, but it was shown up by this sacrifice.
Following the death of the beloved legend Stan Lee, this movie featured one of Lee’s final cameos in the MCU.
While the Avengers are traveling back in time to retrieve the infinity stones, the audience gets a glimpse of 70s-style Stan Lee as he drives by the military base Stark and Rogers visit to steal the tesseract. This meme pays homage to the creator, emphasizing the devastation fans felt knowing he would no longer be a part of the Marvel Universe films.
Collectively, it was estimated that all of the Marvel movies leading up to Endgame were 3,000 minutes long. This felt quite fitting with one of the final scenes.
In the scene about Tony Stark’s funeral, the family watches a recorded message left by Tony, him ending with telling his daughter Morgan that he loved her 3,000. This meme references both the scene in which his daughter tells him how much she loves him and him repeating the same thing to her following his death.
