‘One Piece’ Chapter 913 Release Date, Spoiler Updates: Eiichiro Oda Takes a Break After Reveal of Ace’s Connection to Wano

The anticipated conclusion for Chapter 912 has been delayed as Eiichiro Oda takes another break from work. "One Piece" Chapter 913 has been moved for publishing in the Aug. 6 issue of Shonen Jump. This isn't the first time that Oda has taken a break from working on the manga.
Oda being slightly older than a recent college graduate then, "One Piece" as a manga series has constantly been printed since July of 1997. Just like any hard worker, Eiichiro Oda takes breaks from time to time to do Eiichiro Oda things. While that would mean missing out on Chapter 913's release by a week, it's not worse than a badly written episode.
Redditor u/Bloodinhaler has compiled a summary of Eiichiro Oda's many breaks throughout his career. The longest break taken by the prominent mangaka was the one month break in 2010. It is also interesting to note that based on the summary, Oda's breaks have continued to increase year-by-year, with nine total breaks for 2017.
Thankfully, Oda has already wrapped up questions about Ace's involvement in Wano before taking a break prior to “One Piece” Chapter 913. It is revealed that O-tama has been waiting for Ace for so long because of how Ace and his crew helped save the village of Amigasa. Luffy finally tells O-tama that he also knew Ace, and his adopted brother had died. This breaks the heart of the young O-Tama, who had waited for Ace as the pirate had promised to take her as part of his crew once she was older and stronger.
“One Piece” Chapter 912 also reunited the most unlikely of characters. Luffy gets brought back into the fray with Zoro, who seems to be a wanted criminal in Wano Country now. The pair's reunion is cut short as Basil Hawkins interrupts them. It looks like “One Piece Chapter 913” is set up for another straightforward battle between the two Straw Hat Pirates.
For fans looking forward to knowing how the battle between Zoro, Luffy, and Basil Hawkins will go, the Shonen Jump main page would be the best place to look until the August release of Chapter 913.
